Get the rotors from the VTEC model and either VTEC or Legend calipers

i have an Si and just got new rotors (brembo blanks) and new pads all around

it cost me 245 total from acuraparts store.com (not sure of the url) but with new rotors i think the total was just under 300

did that and bled the brakes and now she stops on a dime.

plus 2 weeks later i upgraded to 17"ers and its just fine

I think one of the cheaper better ways to go is with the legend calipers. Good luck finding them though.

easy. they just drop right in. except for the dust shield thingy on the front brakes. you gotta bend it out of the way on Si's and S's

I'd say that more even pressure is applied along the brake pad cuz of the dual pistons. the brake pads and rotors are the same size.

dual pistons vs one piston.

dual pistons have better stopping power.

Not every legend, only the select few.

The GS models and the coupes, but only certain years, I think 94 - 96.

not in all cases.

If you don't have an upgraded master cylinder, a lot of the time you'll get a pretty crappy pedal feel after doing said swap.

I've never done it on a prelude, but on maximas I know that this was the case all the time. I did too many BBK's to not know...

From what I've heard so far here, it seems to be fine when you go from one pot to dual pot, but go from one to a big 4 pot setup on a BBK and youll feel it

Actually, if you calculate the cylinder volume in the dual piston Legend calipers, it comes out to about 100 - 200 cubic millimeters less than the VTEC calipers, so the master cylinder is of no worry when doing this swap.

My brake pedal feels fine and I've had this setup for almost 2 years now.

Well if thats the case than obviously it feels fine...

The only problem is is when the cylinder has push a volume higher than its really capable of... which is why i say 90% of bbk's are crap.

I acctually appreciate that info gloc... i cant tell you how many people i run into thinking adding 4pot or 6pot calipers actually make them brake better, gives me hope
