I need some opinions... - Honda Prelude Forum

Alright here is the situation, I am trying to decide if I should put a body kit on my Prelude and paint the whole car or should I put a stereo system in my car, if you think a body kit, which one looks good?

If it were me, I would do the body kit first. I know you have a VTEC model, and they came through with a decent stereo system which kept me content for a long time.

As for the body kit, I'm not into the outrageous kits. I like a clean look with a little hint of aggression. I would opt for a wings west or Kaminari kit.

Thanks Mark, thats what I was thinking a little, that the stereo plays, its good, so why not give it a little show.

I'm not into the earth shattering bass anymore so I would just upgrade the 6.5" speakers in the doors and the rear deck and that should make a big difference in sound quality. That should leave you with plenty of money for the kit.

Like I said, I'm not into the loud systems but I had to upgrade because you need a decent system to be somewhat competitive in the show scene.

I really like the way Charlie's (prelude2005) Prelude looks and If I had to get another kit it would be the Wings West RS.

Yes definately get the wings west rs kit. My car looks just like prelude2005's except for the wheels. Im not into outrageous kits either, something simple and modest does the job

I would get the stereo first, simply because I think the stock stereo system sucks. And there aren't any nice looking kits for the ludes except for the WW RS kit. I guess it's all in what you want, cruising while listening to some nice sounding music or turn some heads. In my experience, I turn heads all the time, as long as you keep it clean, my exterior is completely stock. I just think the stereo is better because you spend more time inside the car than starring at it from the outside right? But if your stereo is completely fine for you, get the kit.
