Mined are all messed up and i'm wanting to replace them. Question is, can i go to Checker or something and pick up a set with the bolts and stuff? I dont really just go down the line at Majestic ordering everything but i dont want to guess either and wait a few weeks to find out.

go to your local car audio place and have them make you a cool looking set. Shouldn't cost you more than 15-20 bucks and you get something that not everyone does. Any cable will work though.
All new ones for that cheap? Does that include all the bolts and everything? I don't have a good car manual so i can't tell how many different parts there are

not many. I bought all the wire and connectors for my optima yellow top and did it all myself. It really is easy if you follow the stock lines. Just get one of the guys to help you out.
Yeah i went to autozone but I didn't know the length of the cables so they couldn't help me with any generic ones. And what do you mean by lines? Like, the same place that the OEM cables connected?

i personally would do what andy is say. and i kinda have. i was going to do my own grounding wires. been lazy and never quite finish, i will soon. but i got a negative monster cable battery clip, and i plan to put a new ground to the tranny, and other parts, then i will get apostivite one. i like this betteer then the stock. currently i spent maybe 30 buckx on clips and wires and gold connector.

Where did you buy the cables (and what guage) and connectors? I'm thinking about replacing mine since it's 12 years old. I might need to replace the battery soon too, but I think I'll go with Optima Red Top. I heard that the Yellow Top battery posts are opposite of the stock battery. Is it also true for the Red Top?

The yellow top posts are on the opposite side. That's why I just decided to replace the stock wires. It was really easy. I got mine at my local radio shop. I made them up myself.

it never hurts. If you have the extra cash you might as well. You won't regret the optima batteries. If you have a system you will have better response from your components. Your lights don't dim when the subs draw from the battery on prolonged lows. They are unspillable and a lifetime warranty. But you pay for it. Just an all around good product though.
hey andy wat brand wired did you use. i am using monster wires for the 8 gauge ground around the entire engine bay. but for the tranny, i wanted something heat resiatance, and pick up a super heat resistance one for my exhaust/header. any suggestion ?

hmm i wanted to be safe then sorry for the tranny, cause that the main ground. i know wat type i have to get for the exhaust, cause it also has to despate heat.
