I need help badly

Ok, SO here's the deal. I just purchased a 1993 prelude that originally had an h23 in it mated to an m2s4 transmission. The kid I got the car from blew the h23 engine and swapped in a f22b. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to get the drivers side cv axle to line up with the mounting holes on the engine block. Am I doing something wrong or is there a special bracket I need to get to make the axle line up? My second issue is the engines idle is surging all the way up to 2000rpm. I was told that could be a vacume leek but I really don't know I'm lost. My biggest concern right now though is the axle so any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The axles are the original axles that came mated to the m2s4 transmission.

I didn't have a problem with mine mounting up. i might still have the drivers side axle if you need it. when you say f22b are you talking about the dohc non-vtec motor... or are you talking about one of the usdm models that is sohc. I had the jdm motor and the axles lined up no prob.
