I need engine swap help, like right now. lol.

helping my brother put an engine in, and we're not sure about some of the hoses. In the picture below you'll see we have 3 nipples. I need to know where the hoses that lead to these nipples are attached on the other end.

You have the "#3" vaccum line that should connect to one of the nipples connected to the IAB control diaphragm, which is incorrect. The line running alllll the way across the engine, on top of the injector wiring cover, to the EGR valve should be connected.

On of the nipples is for the cruise control, and the other two are for the EGR equipment mounted on the inner fender. It's hard to tell which one is which in your picture because the diagram in the Helms manual has a poor perspective drawing. If you had a picture that was more zoomed out, showing more of the driver's side engine bay, I could tell you where each goes.

yeah, you're right. We didn't have a #3. I actually fished around under the engine and found the line that should have been on the diaphram and connevted it, freeing what should have been connected to the EGR valve. Problem solved.

Now back to connecting all the other random crap. We just didn't have a pre-removal picture of those lines, and we didn't touch the IAB line, so who knows how long that's been like that.

He does indeed. a 92 Si 4WS.

Fired it up about an hour after the post, runs like a champ.

Except for the broken knock sensor. Either he or my dad (they both blame the other) pulled it right out of the damn housing. Whatever. It's got a CEL for it, but that's the only code. He's doing hte clutch break in, and the parts on order.

Side note, it gets like 100% better gas milage. Pretty sure those lines and numerous other things were completely ****ed up.
