I Hate My Electro Gauges

Just got done installing them, thanks to prelude Styl for his help.

I'm installing them into a 93 and so far they look good, but i hate them

The tach is about 500RPM's to high, is there a way to adjust this?

and the dim switch doesn't let me put it up into the high position when my head lights are on.

And maybe its just me but does anyone else have a hard time seeing them in the sun?

PS : I'm keeping my dash pulled apart until i can fix the dimmer and RPM problem, so any help is much appreciated.

I think the RPM is adjustable via two grey "screws" in the back of the cluster. They are phillips.

As for the dimmer, have you tried rotating it all the way up until it clicks. That should be full brightness with the heads on. Since yours was a '93 your switch might not be able to click like that. I have a dimmer switch out of a '94 you can have if this is the case. The face of it is not in great condition but your could prolly use the one off your current switch.

I think they are plenty bright, even in the sun. If you shine sun directly on them (i.e. from the rear of the car) then they will be a little hard to read but that shouldn't happen very often.

HTH,

from what i'm told you cant fix it, its the actual dimmer unit that 92-93 ludes have. Prelude Styl said just cut the red/black wire and they will be bright at all times, i'm thinking about doing that.

Anyone know how to adjust the tach yet?

When I did the swap, I also swaped in the dimmer control from a 96 prelude but, sik96prelude has done the swap without swapping in the dimmer controls.

I guess you can sent sik93prelude a PM and ask him about it

i'm doing the swap with out the whole harness, i'm just matching wires, so as of right now i have the 92-93 dimmer switch. So your saying i could just swap out dimmer switches? Is it a direct swap, or does it involve splicing and cutting?

HOW DO YOU ADJUST THE TACH!!!! HAHA I WANNA PUT MY DASH BACK TOGETHER.
