I am trading services!

Well I have a friend who has a friend, that does custom exhaust work on imports. He is working for skunk 2 right now, and he built the exhaust for papadapkis drag car, so he says. Anyhow he mentioned some he needed some body work done, and I told him I wanted an exaust system, well he claims that he can get another 15 to 20 horses from my lude in N/A form, just from setting me up with a complete system, is this possible? He was talking about putting bigger piping all the way back, but what I want to know is, can't you go too big with the exhaust, and actually lose alot of torque! How big is to big? What do some of you exhaust experts recommend? I don't want to lose any torque whatsoever.

Another 15-20? He must be thinking of the entire system (for a NA). You are correct, your exaust can be too large. If its too large, you wont have sufficient backpressure, and it may actually hurt performance. As far as I know, 2.5 is about the largest that you would want on a NA.

Yes he's going to do header on back I think I just have to buy the muffler. So will I lose any torque going 2.5?

You are going to want some backpressure, so with a gutted cat, 2.5 is about the largest a NA can go before loosing power.

Let us know how everything turns out, bro! I would love to have something like that, in the future.
