HP gains from a AEM cai

How much HP can I expect? Before you flame i did search and the closest answer i got was 7-8hp for an AEM CAI AND DC heads.....what can i expect from the AEM intake alone??? I can definitely feel it but how much is there really?

AEM guarentees a minimum increase of 50 HP at the wheels....

plus, a gift certificate for a free dinner at the restaurant of your choice.

My understanding is the CAI alone doesn't produce as great an increase as a good header. I would guess somewhere around 5HP for the intake, another 7-10 for the header? I'm just going off the top of my head from some previous posts here, haven't actually had these on my car or anything...

Wide Mouth Lude, is there really an increase in acceleration? I've wanted to get a CAI and header, I just wonder if it's really noticeable in daily driving.

I'd say 5 if your lucky.

But you've got to remember, it's the start to almost ALL mods to come...

i believe i've heard about 5 for the intake but I'm almost sure I've read that the header and exaust won't produce as much as a diff as the intake will. I saw a dyno once, forget where but I think it was for a 4th gen where the intake added 6-7 at peak, the header like 2-3, and the exaust maybe 4-5. This is all from memory though so I could def be wrong.

yeah, i think on average u'll see about a 3-4hp increase on stock cars and 5-7hp at the most...some modded cars respond differently tho...

I don't know about anyone else's experience, but i've had my AEM CAI for about a year now and I love it...definetely feel a slight increase on torque at the low end...
