How well do 1 piece JDM's hold up?

You guys have got me seriously considering JDM 1 piece headlights.

Considering that they are made of plastic or is it lexan, how well do they hold up? How about rock/road debris damage. Living in the midwest, I am curious about holding up to our temp variations and hot/cold extremes. Do they scratch easily, I have to scrape frost from my headlights occassionally?

They stand up well.. I mean if you take a rock and scratch it on the headlight it'll scratch, but taking off frost, and the temp variations won't do anything to them. As for road damage.. they're going to get worn like any other headlight..

I would think they are tough but not as tough at USDM since ours are glass...

Myself as well as a few other people I know have had rocks chip out a hole in USDM's. I'll try to get a good pick sometime. My point is I haven't really heard people having problems with JDM's.

The JDM's being plastic is a good thing. They resist chips a lot better than glass.

Along with Jape I too had them on my car in Alaska for about 8 months and I have had no real problems with them. I think they are one of my favorite mods on my Lude thus far. Go for it, they will look sick on a Silver Lude.
