Any such thing to inspect timing belt to see the condition of it? Dealerships records don't show any timing belt replaced on my 93 Si/Vtec but person I got it from says they did it not sure how many miles ago. Currently the car is at 206,000 miles.
well it is supposed to be done every 90k, so it should have been done at 180k and if it wasnt then it would prolly not still be running newayz, so id say ur good for a while.. go ahead and look at it under the valve cover just to be safe tho..
I've only heard a a hand full of case where the timing belt was the problem. But if you search you'll find LOTS of case where the auto tensioner will fail anywhere from 50k - 120k of service life. I recommend changing the tensioner every 60k miles, and while you're in there just go ahead and do your belt and water pump too.
BTW: If the auto tensioner fails, sometimes you can hear the timing belt slap against the timing belt cover.

NOT worth the risk, as previously mentioned. We don't have any sort of cool non interference engine so it's best to bite the cost of a set of belts, rather then a new engine.
I'm at 170k on my H23 and owned it since it was 145k. I think that my car is dearly lucky to be this far and still no problems. I bought my prelude just for the winter last september and I have not replaced any worn parts up to date. I will hopefully get it done this year though, kind of getting skeptical if it will last another year without maintence. The only maintence I used is sea foam every month and oil changes, everything else is untouched since I bought it.
207,700 miles did a compression check #2 is at 175PSI the rest are over 200PSI I have decided to not do the timing belt. If the motor goes I'll switch over to a hmotorsonline.com JDM h22.
how bout you just sell me your motor for 100$ and buy a new one from hmotors, cuz you wont get much for it if your timing belt breaks while you are driving.
