How much would you pay for a front-clip?

Just as the title says, Im wondering if you were to get a front clip instead of just an engine and trans, what would you pay for it. Also if you guys have any ideas on how to get rid of the extra metal when done.

I'd say around 3k. And couldn't you just take the frame to a junk yard?

prelude front clips go for about 2,000....its a lot better to get the clip than the swap IMO

Just remember, if you get a clip and are planning on doing the swap yourself, you will essentially be doing 2 engine swaps instead of one.

The front clip of prelude isn't really worth it IMO... especially if you're doing the swap into a prelude cause we don't need all the extra parts such as mounts, axles, etc... any MOST front clips places will sell you will be beaten up (fenders damaged, etc.) or all the good parts taken away, such as headlamps, bumpers, steering wheel, gauges, ac control... places aren't dumb and know they can get the extra money from these parts. Also, the shipping will cost alot more, finding a place to take the empty frame isn't that easy to do, junk yards don't just come pick them up from your house or anything, you'll have to find a flat bed or something to bring it there... and the extra work isn't really neccessary...

clips do go for a little more then the swap itself, swap is about 2000-2400... clips start off at 2500 + shipping...

My friend has a hook up for 1600 for the front clip...so i still think it may be worth the effort...I still havnt decided, all i really want is the engine trans and the Headlights if they are even there.
