How much to shave trunk?

Has anyone gotten their trunk shaved? If so, how much did it cost in total (including paint job etc.) and got any pics? Also, how much would it be to add a remote trunk popper...

I have a remote trunk popper and it was affordable. I think I paid something like $30-40cdn and got it installed with my compustar alarm. It works great.

As for shaving your trunk, it all depends on where you take your car. When you go shopping around for prices in your area, make sure the shop is going to weld metal to close up all the holes rather than just using bondo filler and cheap stuff like that. Usually when it comes to bodywork, you get what you pay for. Do it right the first time and be happy with it. Good Luck

Too bad your not in SO CAL, I would of done it for you! If you were to take it to my shop you woud get it up the a$$ in price, your best bet would be to look around for people that do bodywork on the side like me. Then it depends what gen you have, a fifth gen is easy I would charge you like 50 bucks because all you have is emblem holes, and a key hole.
If you have a fourth gen where the whole liscense plate bracket is and you want to make it all one piece then I would charge you around 300, just for the body work, then painting it would probably be another 100 from my painter. That's all ballpark, but like I said a shop is goin to be alot more pricey. I would imagine a shop would charge for a fourth gen probably around 600 bucks, and a fifth gen probably around 300 bucks. hope that helps.

SLP, I might be a future client of yours. Can you do OEM-style-quality paint jobs???? I have a blue-green-azure 96 Si Lude, but I'm thinking seriously of having a charcoal grey Honda color change done. I'm talking about an entire body color-change done, including the engine bay. Please PM me, as I AM moving to LA, my old stoming grounds. Also, PM me w/ any serious FI tuning shops to help me out w/ me turbo tuning endeavours.

Hey slick, I can hook you up with my painter, I just do bodywork, I can take everything apart for you, You will want to do that to get a better quality job, let me know when you get down here and I will hook you up with my painter. Also there are a couple of really good shops around here, one is Dynamic, and the other is Area51. Both in the laguna niguel area.

Hmm... this I like to hear. Thanks for the offers of help! I still need to move out there and get situated, but I'll look you up as soon as I have the money in hand. Do you do headlight conversions? I want to do the JDM ITR headlight conversion, perhaps w/ the R33 bodykit... unless I can find the Spoon c/f lip, hehe.

And I will definately be consulting you. I just detailed my car today, and DAMN, I need some work. The stock Honda paint job could allow for the car to be sold at a dealership, but there are SO MANY scratches and chips... for us anal-retentive Honda JDM fiends, it would need a new paint job, inside and out.
