how much for a new or rebuild tranny?

can you guys give me some numbers on the cost of rebuilding a tranny .. or the price or a new one.. the install costs. any options im probly not thinking or would also be helpfull.. thanks guys

well for an auto? if for an auto, then go to levelten.com and it will run you about $1000 =/- . ask the other guys about for a stick...

rebuilding can cost anywhere from around $500-1000 and up. It depends on what needs to be replaced and how much labor. I had my tranny rebuilt in my nissan... total around $1000. It might be cheaper to just buy a used low mileage transmission. They go for around $500 more or less. And labor will vary...around $200-400.

If I were you...I would attempt to get a JDM tranny with a LSD.

some people are selling their trannys on www.thepartstrader.com and www.hondaclassifieds I sold my tranny about 4 months ago for $150 + shipping.
