How to mount P28 ECU in place of P13?

How are people replacing their P13 with a P28 in terms of mounting the P28? The dimensions are different, and the mounting points are way different. There's enough room under the top tray to place the P28, but the lower tray would have to have tabs welded onto it, the P28 lugs extend beyond the P13 lower tray.

I don't know if you were serious or not, but that isn't a bad idea. The ECU would probably get some shock absorption from it. This might not be the best permanent solution, there is the risk it could break loose. Although you'd presumably hear this while driving the car. Perhaps velcro AND some bubble-wrap packed around the ECU just in case? Even though it won't be seen, I still prefer custom installations that appear to be factory. I guess I'll try to hit up a junkyard for a second lower tray, so I can drive the car while I seek to have the tray modified at a sheet metal shop.

Is anyone using something other than velcro?

hmm i didn't even realize this was a problem (just bought a p28)

i'm probably going to use that 3M double sided tape they use for lip kits.

if two screws fit, fine. it isn't even that big of a deal.

i wouldnt worry about shock or anything those cases are prity damn stoute

there are 5 screws holding the board in and then the alum. case is probly 1/4 thick and then the plates are steel

velcro will do just fine
