How long does power last without opening the door??

Well,

Today I was at work. I saw this cat walking up to my car and I thought, "I need to shut my sun roof!!" so the little kitty doesn't get in. I opened my car and for grins I pushed the button to the sun roof and it closed. I unplugged the door sensor awhile ago and never really thought anything about it. If I turned my key to accesory the dinger would go wild cause the slide was messed up so I unplugged it and have no problems what so ever. My alarm will turn my dome light on so I don't have problems with that. But when I open the door my car doesn't know about it so the accesory power stays on. Will that ever quit? Is there a set time that it works??

I really like it because I can roll my windows up and down along with working the sunroof without putting the key in the ignition! I had been working for about an hour before I closed the sunroof. It is nice I stumbled on a little "mod" if you will without even knowing about it.

I think my manual says you have 10 minutes to work the sunroof unless you open the door. Sounds like unplugging things will make it operate forever though since you did it an hour later.

well that is the cool thing. Even if I open my doors it doesn't know about it. So I can still work my windows and roof!

do the accessory lights every turn off - isn't this draining your battery. Or does the alarm shut them off?

When I turn the car off there is never a light left on. I found out something new today. When I open my doors and my lights are on it won't ding the reminder to turn them off. I found a downside to having it that way. I always turn and look at my car out of habit so I will always remember to shut them off.
