How To: Install JDM fording mirror in USDM housing.

Ok ppl i did this like a month ago, and i just kinda got lazy. So for all of you guys that dont' want to paint, or want better adjustablitity, this is for you. And parden my english.

Tools.
Screw Driver-Phlips
Dremal
And a small flat screwdriver, i would say roughly 2mm wide.

Ok here we goooooo.
Gather your tools and mirror

The blue one is my stock USDM mirror. the Silver one is the JDM one.

Ok first off let take off the harness socket.

this is where that small flat head come in. you want to stick the screw driver in and it will let you pull the wires apart from the harness.

ok most of my pics are fuzzy. the next step is to remove all the screw holding the wires back

next unscrew this screw, it one of the screws holding hte mirror to the triangle.

now take these three off.

Ok i dindt' take any good pics of the next part, but basicly here comes the parts you guys wanna know about. the pictures so far has been how to take both mirrors apart, so you can swap the motors.

The two housing wont fit correctly.

On the passager side, i did it before i had a camera, it is the easiers. you just grind/cut away a little peg, and that side is done.

you notices the cut/grind away.

Now all you do for the passager side, is screw it up.

Driver side is a little harder.

all you do here is trial and error, grind away that point. i would say 1-2mm at most. now you can bolt it up, if it still wont fit, grind some more foooool.

Ok and now screw everything in and back up.

I have been driving with this setup for 2 weeks, the adjustablity is much nicer, i can actually seee out of so many different direction.
One thing i notices is this, since i am using the USDM housing the mirror fold more to the right when they close, so the passager side look closer to the mirror, and the driver, is stick a little more outward.
now you guys dont' have to repaint. and i was bored. so here you go.

it takes like 30 min per mirror your first time, because taking it apart is a bish, but i can prob take mine apart like in 15 mins, and i thought you metal was goin to be a bish to grind/cut, it cuts like butter with a dermal

Dang man. THis would have helped me 3 days ago. I just finished mine and went through the guessing on how to make it fit. LOL. But i have the same problem, my passanger mirror folds in more than the drivers side does. kinda crazy, buti love them <3.
