how high does your RPM stands

hey guys you know when I turn on my car the RPM sits below 1000 RPM (800 to be exact). Is that normal, shouldn't it be at least 1000 to 1300 RPMs... How about your ludes... thanx

Normal idle is 760 rpms...

However when I start my car it's much higher like around 1500 or so....is doesn't go down to 760 until it warms up.

760 is that normal because most cars like integs and civics and sh*t like that they sit at 1000 RPM.

Unless Honda is completely retarded, it's normal. When do you spend time looking at civic and integra idles? If it's when they start they are higher than normal anyway.

Mine idles at just a tad under 800. It shouldn't change unless you adjust it.

I can't think of any problem, I can't think of any reason you'd want it to idle higher either.

700 - 900 rpms at idle is very normal. Anything other then that it probably just needs a simple tune up.

It's not better to idle higher, it's best to leave that at factory settings. The only reason I could possibly think that anyone would want to idle higher is because they think they would get a better launch, but you rev up to lauch, anyways.

when I repaced my timing belt, head gasket, I went and had the head milled a little extra to raise the compression, and it does shake violently and idles around 1000 rpm, makes for a nice rumble out of the exhaust
