How high can I rev a stock jdm h22a?

Considering there is no rev limiter, what is the highest I can rev a jdm h22a safely?

Probably not much higher than fuel cutoff. But I don't really see the point, your not going to make any power...

wasnt planning to rev too high, but was just curious as to how far it will actually go. Thanks

I don't know exactly when but eventual something good will happen at a high rpm like a piston hitting a vavle or spinning a bearing.

there is no rev limiter? really? i have a jdm and i've bounced it a couple times....or are u guys just talkin about revving while in neutral? i'm confused..as always

so then is this thread done then? there is a rev limiter. mine will bounce at 8000 on my stock tach, or right before it.

Rev limiter, ha, just downshift to second at 80 and show me a stinking rev limiter

what i mean is, considering that there was no rev limiter, how high can a stock jdm h22a motor handle before breaking?

what would you need to attain a 9k redline?

I would say destroke, new vavletrain, balanced bottomed end, new connecting rods, and new cams that shift the powerband up.

how 'bout first at 50 on a b20a5?

50 mph + shift to first = no more b20a5, time for a jdm b20a
