you have got to get it from the back side, meaning removing your inner fender well splash guard. This bulb is the biggest pain in the but. I had my car at the body shop, wheels off, bumper off and it was still a pain. May want to consider the dealer.

What are you talking about?

1) Open the hood.
2) There is a screw in the frame of the car just beside where the corner lamps are it's the front screw holding down the grey plastic arm.
3) Take out the screw, don't drop it!
4) Pull the corner lamp straight out, and then to the side, remove the bulb

Doesn't hurt to yank really hard. It is broken and once you see it out you will understand how it works. Satav_SRV is correct! I actually used a flat head screwdriver to remover mine!

Yeah I've done this, as you pull you might find it a little easier if you hold the bottom of the light and pull, but as you pull, tilt the bottom of the light towards you slightly, don't be scared to pull on it though as its quite tight!

yep, when i pulled mine out it just got a good grip with the tips of my fingers and just yanked backwards while falling back on to my arse.

after i pulled mine out to replace bulbs i used a file and sanded down the hump ( i guess u could call it that) a little bit so it would be a little bit easier to pull out next time.

What everyone has said already is correct with the exception of dueslude.

You definitely have to use a little force to pull it out because there are two male cconnections on the end of the corner light which are inserted into the female connections of the fenders making it necessary to use force when pulling them out towards you.

So what are you saying, that I was unable to change mine this way, if so, YOUR WRONG! And I'm not the first one to do it this way, that is the way a dealership explained to me how to replace them.

Calm down, tiger. He was just saying there is easier ways to do it, not that your way was wrong. Getting an attitude with VERY well established and respected board members is a good way to make enemies quickly here.

I can see why you replied the way you did, and I'm sorry if it came off as an insult.

I APOLOGIZE, and didn't mean it that way. Red92s explained it like I had intended.

I know the dealer probably has explained to you the "proper" way to remove the corners but we all have had our experiences with dealerships and Honda Techs who don't even know how to operate a socket wrench.

If you do it the way we all have explained it should take all of one minute to remove them.

Red92s -

Mark

you know, it mentions how to change the bulb in your owners manual, not helms or other mechanics manuals, but your OWNERS manual, now why would honda techs have u do it like that if it tells u how to change that bulb in the same manual htat tells you how to put ur car in drive and put on ur seatbelt? i guess our attitude wasnt towards u, it was the honda dealership where the problem lies.

hmm, maybe this honda dealership is imaginary.

there's only one way to remove corner lights off a 4th gen. prelude.

one screw, pressure, yank it out.
