First off. Use some common sense. Don't be stupid. Case in point

and another

That being said.

For the defrost vents in your door you have to pull the door panel off. There are a couple of screws to remove first. They are in yellow. You have to remove the little triangle piece right above the vent. It just pulls off. Then a little pressure will do to get the door panel off. You don't want to yank hard cause you have to work the plastic trim around the door handle to get it off with out breaking it. Be patient cause you don't want it to get messy. You should have to push up a little cause the panel sorta hangs on the part in the green circle. The plugs you are pulling out are in red. Make sure to unplug the mirror controls, door lock, and window controls. Once your panel is free you can get to the vent. The part circled in blue is the vent shaft leading up to the defrost. There is one screw to take out. Should just pull out after that. The top screw should be the one to hold the vent in place. Just pull it out. Now I have never taken the vent out so I don't know if it is glued or just stuck in place. Take your own risk. This is also a good time to replace your speakers with some high quality mids. Everything goes back the same way. Whenever you replace the panel... it is all backwards. You have to work the door handle in place first to get it on there.

I think IMHO... if you are going to change the interior you should do all of it.

I have tried to take that off but didn't get very far. You have to remove the piece around the shifter. There are a couple of screws that hold it together but I don't know how to pull it out. I think you have to pull out the vents and AC controls. Hopefully a more experienced person can help. Maybe this will help.
