How do I make the Si exhaust fit h22 header?

I did a search and couldnt find much....im about to do the h22 swap into my Si and I need to know what I will have to do to get the SI exhaust and downpipe to fit the H22 header? Also would it be easier to get an h22 down pipe and use that instead? Any input will help im planning on doing the swap this weekend.

The only thing you have to do to make a h23 cat-back fit a h22 is to enlarge the bolt holes on the flange.

what if i was using a 5th gen base header and downpipe...how much shorter is it? Would it be easier than using the h23 downpipe and h22 header?

Cn you even match the h23 downpipe (flexpipe part) with the h22 header? I wasn't aware that they'd matte up like that.

measure your downpipe then ask how long the down pipe is for a 5th gen in the 5th gen forum.

I think theres some confusion...i have an H23 and when i put my Greddy SP catback on, they had to expand the ther hole on the flange of my exhaust that goes to the cat, cuz Greddy only makes the SP for VTEC H22's. With that, I it would be possible by simply changing the flanges...besides, if you're going with an H22, why would u want anything from an H23?? There are more parts available for the H22 than H23, i.e. Greddy Header, etc.

hmm, the h23 downpipe will NOT mate with h22 header. Not even close even with modification. You can get the downpipe with the engine from Hmotors. But it might not come to you in very good shape. Depending on how much of the down pipe you get you can use the h23 flange and flexpipe so it all mates up. A quick trip to the mufflershop. Also, if the 5th gen downpipe is shorter, it really does not matter. If the muffler shop is welding your exaust, they can match up whatever you want.

Get the H22 downpipe for sure, you'll need that anyway to mate it to the header. Then go down to a muffler shop and have them extend or shorten any pipes to make the downpipe bolt up to the cat.

You're planning to swap the motor out this weekend by yourself?

Here's another question...since Ronnie (aka Sik96Prelude) won't EVER write me back anymore about my headswap, is all that I need to do to make an Apex'I N1 fit my H23 head is just cut and weld at an exhaust shop? Another f@ckin' ambition down the drain....
