OK! how do u get the antenna mast through the hole to the exterior bc the lil knob at the top doesnt come off, and i cant figure out how to take the whole thing off the outside of the car. Anyone know??
Are you talking about that metal nut that you can see the top on above the rubber trim piece? It requires a special wrench from Honda, but you should be able to use needlenose pliers or something in those grooves to twist it off.

ok, i got that off... and i've got it all dissasembled, but i cant get the antenna mast, through the lil pipe, that has the antenna power plug on it, if that makes any sense
Originally posted by yield i couldn't get the new mast into the old housing... bashed the **** out of it and scraped my car and finally took it to honda
Me too... me and my cousin worked on mine at honda and got it pretty well fixed. The next week the damn tube snapped in half so I had to get a new motor and mast. I still got the new honda mast laying around, but parts of it are cut off.

Origianlly posted by Whitea207 No bc the new white strip is just as long as the old one, so i figure i got it all already.
I'm confused, maybe because im tired, but you've already got the old one out and you're trying to get the new one in right??

Damn I think I had this problem.... I don't remember what we did. I think we smacked it down with a rubber hammer, but then again you probably don't want to do that because of what happened to mine eventually.
