How to check cel?

Hey, I was wondering how you would check the cel on a 95 if it only comes on after driving it for like 2 miles? Can I jump the connector to check or does your car have to be turned off to do that?

Jump the 2 pin connector, then turn the key to the ON position. (don't start the car)

Look at your dashboard and the CEL will flash the codes.

You don't get to read the CEL, you just see it on the whole time...

Blue connector behind the radio. Jump with paperclip and turn key to ON position. Count long and short flashes and report back.

Dibs on o2 sensor code!

The ecu stores the codes so you just do like everyone said before, turn the car off but make sure the key is in the "ON" position. The light should come on solid stick the jumper into the blue connector and count the blinks.
