how big are the woofers in the 4g rear? - Honda Prelude Forum

If you have a VTEC, then it's 6x9, if you don't have a VTEC, you don't have a sub woofer.

eh wrong there is a sub in the non-vtec lude's I have a 92 Si non-vtec

and I have too 8 inch subs in the back that look stock because the wiring does not lead to an amp so I am led to believe they are stock by the wires.

Sorry, but you're wrong. No 4th Gen Si came with a sub. Mine most certainly doesn't have one. It does have 2 6.5" speakers in the rear deck, but NO sub woofers.

No there isn't a stock 8" sub that come factory on any preludes. If you want to try to be an ass and make someone look dumb at least get your facts right.

Well, if you want to know the size of the speakers in the rear deck, they're both 6 and a half inches in diameter.

A) He's got a SI so let's assume he hasn't purchased a VTEC all of a sudden
B) Lot's of people call speakers "woofers" as slang

So my guess is he wants to know that his two rear deck speakers are 6.5 inches.

lol. so you bought your car with the 8's in the trunk and because the idiot before you has them powered from the headunit, you think theyre stock. ive never heard of a car that comes with stock pieces that take up trunk space.

maybe he's misjudging the size of the 6.5 inchers?

ok so maybe I am wrong because I took the grill off mine and I guess the original owner replaced them with subs. cause I looked at the bottom of them through the trunk and they said Eclipse 8" subwoofers on the bottom but were wired weird so I thought they may have been stock.

Yes it is 6.5". It has been stated about 5 times on this post. The rear deck is 6.5 and if you have the vtec sub somehow it's a 6x9.
