How bad are ebay body kits?

Hey everybody, I'm looking to get a body kit (blitz preferably) and need to know on average how bad ebay kits are. I don't have a lot of money but I also don't want to waste it on something that is just going to crack right away. I found a guy selling a kit for $440 shipped which seems good but I just don't know enough about them to know if it is going to be total crap. I realize no one will have a definite answer since you don't know the specifics on how it was made but does anyone have any experience with ebay kits or anything? thanks for the help in advance!

dont bother getting a kit from ebay unless you know the person. my friends had bad experience. most kits are very very bad fitment and would cost more money to fit it then the kit itself. if you want quality then spend alittle more money. if not then i know someone that can get a kit for 540$ shipped perfect fitment. very good quality also.

Yeah, it is fiberglass, so it has its con's to it. Depends on who developed the material. Though, you can always go with a name brand, Kaminari, Wings WEst, Azect, JUN, Spoon etc... Good luck with the kit. You will have some fitment issues, though you can have your bodyshop fix it up for you.

eBay kits suck. I pretty much spent more getting them to modify the my rear from ebay TO FIT than it actually cost. Don't go the ebay way when it comes to fiberglass body kits.

all depends on who the vendor is.

BTW dont knock fiberglass that much. i know we are all polyeurethane freaks here btu i was quite surprised with the good fitment of my ViS kit , and its been banged a few times with no real damage...

Yeah, I got a kit as soon as I got my car, and suprisingly the fitment wasnt all that bad. Sure to the careful eye you could find a few places but other than that it was good. I still wish I had spent my money on go fast parts but oh well.

btw I got my kit through www.bodykitdepot.com

another thing about ebay kits, I wouldnt get one unless you know for sure its absolutely 100% new. And only if its Grade A fiberglass which means it should come white, not blue. Oh yeah and make sure you have a competent guy to mount it. Ask around your town to see who does the best work. And one last thing. Only put it on when you know you have enough money to get the thing painted! I hate people with primered body kits on!
