horror story..

so i was driving back from my grandma's place yesterday, halfway through the trip the check engine light comes on. i stop, check the oil, distributor sounds funny, making the same noises my power steering pump was when it was shot. so i drive the rest of the 200 miles home with no problems. i take it in to have them check the code today and it was the distributor, so i go to the dealer and buy a new one. on the way back, my car dies about a mile from my home. ****ing distributor crapped out. so i decide to just change it right there, only when i get the old one off i realize that they gave me the S model part! ****ers! anyway, i call them up and they agree to bring the part to me so we can swap. long story short, it takes me an hour and a half to get the car running again, it's dark and freezing outside. i had the wrong wires hooked up on the igniter so it took a while to troubleshoot. right now i am just trying to thaw out. although they made the initial mistake, props to the dealership for bringing the part to me without too much hassle. they always have the parts i need in stock too, so i can't complain too much. if you're near alexandria, va and need parts, check out landmark honda..
