Horrible Pulling To Right

Hey well about 2 months ago i hit a real bad pothold which are notorious in new orleans.. Well anyways after it bent a 17' rim i had the rim fixed but my alignment would be screwed well i know this. But my question is like last month my passenger side cv halfshaft went out i got a new one and replaced it. Well after i replaced it when i let go of the steering wheel the car pulls harder than it did before! But whats worst the wheel turns on its own now, before the wheel would stay centered but the car would pull. Now the wheel turns to the right like a ghost is doing it and the car pulls harder. it turns harder and faster if you let go and accelerate. Also as well i noticed a slight knocking sound when i break and when i let off breaks and accelerate like at a stopsign. Any ideas? i can pull the tires and rims off and take pictures.. But ima just go take it to alingment shop to get an alignment if anything is bent which i know somthing HAS to be if i bent a 17' alloy rim hitting the pothole. however nothing looks bent and the tire wear isnt that bad so maybe its just out of align but i do think its weird how wheel never turned on its own till the cv joint was changed.. well if anything is wrong or bent they will tell me and ill get it fixed then get the alignment. any ideas of what could be or has anyone had anything similar happen?? Oh one more and my steering wheel has to be held one turn to left to keep going straight its off align too! sorry for long post

Are you sure you tightened everything down properly after you replaced the axle?

Double check all nuts and bolts. Make sure everything is tight.
