Hood stuck

My hood on my Lude will not o[en. I press the release latch and it feels loose. Now that my hood wont open I have no idea how i can get if open myself. Any suggestions or now how wud b great as I dont wanna pay for some one to open it.

sucks, but the only way is take the release latch out, take the wire out of the release latch then use plier to pull it hard so it will open, but dont close afterward since wire pulled hard and stuck. youll need to replace wire. ebay has them maybe under 50 shipped.

if the cable broke somewhere in the fender/engine bay, you may be able to access the latch cable from underneath the car, you just need to unbolt the plastic shroud that hold the bumper to the body. Then you can reach up with a pair a pliers and release it there.
