mmm...so im thinking how am i gonna open my hood? the latch as in under the hood, right up front. i put it up on a lift and tried to get my had in there to pop the hood, no good. anyone have any other ideas? good thing i just changed my oil....its disconnected right at the latch under the hood, not the one in the cabin. you can see the cable if you look right into the front, but i dont know how to get the hood latch to pop..

can u tell if the cable snapped or if it simply came out of this notch that there is by the latch?


this happened to me. i used a flathead screwdriver to sort of move the latch from right to left looking towards the front of the car. Or if the cable isnt broken, u can somehow squeeze ur hand from the underside of ur car and try to pull on the cable, but u gotta remove the plastic shielding under there. I've done it both these ways.

i think what happened was, when my car was broken into, they disconnected the cable at the latch cuz they were mad there's nothing to steal in my car...aside from a flashlight and a cd case...which they did take...cut my foglight wiring and pull the cable out of the latch....
