Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket

Hey guys,

I had a very simple question regarding the Hondata intake manifold gasket. I drive a 96 Lude with a H23 engine. On the website, it says that they make the gasket for the H22.

Will it also fit my H23?

Thanks.

Marcucci used to sell an H23 version. Apparantly, it can be modified to work.

Hondata Manifold Insulator (Heatshield Gasket) $58 shipped!

Does anyone sell one for the H23? I am definitely interested. I definitely feel my performance go down when it's hot outside.

check the hondata website, they should carry it. And with any car when its hot the performance goes down. be happy you don't drive a boosted car its even worse when its hot.

The F22 VTEC one can be modified to work. It doesn't take long, and I hear that it works fine, but it requires opening a few port holes up significantly.

If you are industrious you can buy .125" thick sheet Teflon from http://www.mcmaster.com or http://www.usplastic.com and make one yourself. The material is expensive, though, and it is time-consuming to make. I've one-offed a few for race motors but I would charge a minimum of $100 to make one (it's that much of a PITA).

Hondata won't own up to me what material they use, but Teflon is the only thing that comes close in terms of heat resistance (most materials won't hold up to head temps) and suface sealing.
