honda prelude f22b swap

i just boughta95 prelude si with a jdm f22b swap. if i need parts for motor which parts can i use parts from a h23a1? it tapping idk how to go about it lookin for advice

which f22b? because there are two different engine type. sohc or dohc?

Yeah, but there are two different type of JDM f22b. one is sohc and one is dohc. What I have in my lude is JDM F22b that is 2.2l SOHC non vtec. Just the same as mine on the link

EDIT: I know original post said h23a1 for interchangeable, but what if he have sohc f22b thinking some from h23a1 will fit? you know?

^ yeah, I figured cause he said interchangeable with H23A1, but you are right, you never know.

ihave an f22b dohc with the stock prelude trans. i just dnt know how to get parts for it like its making a tapping sound,sa i need a set f lifters or somethin internal, would h23a1 parts work ?

For the head and up, H23 will fit and for the block and down, F22 will fit. The only thing that will not fit dohc f22b from f22/h23 is timing belt. GSR timing belt will fit.

sorry seen this post so i had to join to chime in

i just did a dohc f22b rebuild yea they are correct use h23 for parts head up

i used a 88 dodge caravan timing belt and i kept the original water pump cuz i couldnt figure out wich one to use

Alright cool thanks for the help. Also when the motor gets warmed it up makes a ticking noise from the top end and at high rpms ill get an oil light any ideas on what it could be?
