I have just been informed that my car is loosing coolant due to corrosion of hot water pipe from engine. Can anyone advise as to how much this will cost to replace and is it an easy job or not?

I mean in theory, yes, it's easy. I don't know how much mechanical knowledge you have but it's basically getting to the hose, removing clamps, replacing hose, and then flushing and refilling the engine with coolant.

Plus you have to know how to bleed out the air. To me that's an easy job, to some that's a pita.
