Homeless plug (56k = wait)

Well I posted this once before about having some plugs that are not connected. If you really want to read it, go here. It’s not all that exciting.

Well today I had the car jacked up again and I spotted the homeless plug. So I grabbed a camera and took pictures.

You can also check out
Plug 6
Plug 7
Plug 8

These are the same plug.
Can anyone identify the plug and tell me where its suppose to go to?

It looks like the IAB Control Solenoid Plug that runs your IAB diaphragm

Question...after 3 years of being a member, I still don't know what IAB is...so, what is it?

no it doesn't

IAB = Intake Air Bypass

It's 4 butterfly plates in your intake manifold that cover the short stage runners and open just before VTEC to give more airflow to the engine. They remains closed in the low end to create more torque in that range.

It's number 14 in this pic

You have 2 wires or one? In that area there are 2 plugs like that. One has 2 wires the other has 1. The connector with 2 wires goes to the IAB, the other one is red and another color goes above the Oil Filter, to the Knock sensor i believe.

Well today I made time to get under the car...
My homeless plug is defiantly a black and pink wire. Just like everyone said it would be. But I still can not find a home for it. I did find a plug just above, and a little on the passenger side, of the oil filter. That plug had a red wire WITH a navy blue stripe. I thought I may have had connected the wrong plug into the wrong spot but I could not get my homeless (black and pink) plug to attach to the plug. So I scratched that idea. Any other suggestions?
