carbon fiber on that in my opinion would be considered "ricey" by some, buy after all, it's whatever you like. If my car was black or dark green or even blue, i would do the lip, but not on my silver car

You know what? The old Ferrari Testarossa had a front air dam just like this baby. I just checked it out.

well guys i got some pics of mine. it shows my cold air port and how the lip looks on my car. horrible pics at night looking crappy with a dirty car near lawn clippings but its ok

ground clearance on eibach springs can barely fit 1 hand!

this is the custom piped cold air port i made to go to my short ram intake. HUUUUUUGE difference felt with this mod.

heres a front shot of the car with the lip on, looks crappy and yea i know i have a dent i got whacked by an suv. I LIKE IT!

I still can't beleive you guys are doing this

But I have to say, it does look pretty damn good. And the ram air port is pure genious, pure genious

I'd still LMAO if I saw a car in a parking lot with lawn edging on the front

heh. i dunno if its sarcasm or not but who knows just in case. that ram port was one of the best go fast mod i feel ive done to the car. all the coldest of cold air sitting closest to the ground being sucked right up and making me have that little feeling you get when you first start your car and swear its quicker for a few minutes. on really cold nights too its just plain priceless.

I dont think that pipe is directly connected to his intake, i think its just a pipe that allows air to flow more directly to this intake filter

it doesnt directly link to the intake. it is a piece of 4" black conduit that runs from there to the hole where the resonator was. i drilled a few holes in the bottom to release water. besides, it would take alot to drive enough water up a 4 inch tube going almost straight up. i dont think its a rice mod at all, its a great way to get cold air power without losing short ram torque and throttle response. i dont care if putting a big ronald mcdonald head in my motor, if it made me faster id do it. function>form.

I think its tight. Nice job man. Keep it up. Im down for more do it you self mods. This is cool. All you guys who dont like it thats really to bad. You should always consider new things. Without these kinds of people who would invent or try new ideas. I personally think that it would look a little better if it was smooth or painted and had more of a structure on the sides but for being for a garden damn its nice.

thanks hazardous. its too many people that are riceophobes when it comes to doing anything, its nice to hear someone who agrees and isnt afraid. double decker wings chrome altezzas and neons are rice, not performance mods. i personally think that the lip and the little duct hole make the car look a bit more unique. it probabbly gets a second look seeing that hole just by people wondering what the hell it is. im going to clean up the lip a little bit soon also when i get time.

thanks absolut. i used electrical conduit to pipe it and it was a real ***** to bend. i had to make an oval shaped hole that was approx 4X6 or so. i then had to pull it through and use thick staples to hold it in, then the grating with the screws holds it down too. it wasnt the most fun to work with but its very beneficial. the grating is a must though to keep any small furry creatures or leaves out of your filter.

tastyratz : I think you should start a new thread on how to do that air duct mod, show some pics inside because the resonator hole is super small ... I've got weapon-r and im sure it would eat this mod up! ..

I'm still waiting for pics of a red prelude with that lip (speaking of.. i went into my garden shed yesterday and low and behold theres like 12 feet of it!!!

Demonya Lude Type-G *Pics* (thoughts, slams, comments, etc- all welcome)

Thx for the great idea! The stuff is more rigid than you can imagine! Added some screws and aluminum as well as rubber door molding along all end edges including the cylindrical lip. Also put in a aluminum runner along the back inside of the "lip" allowing the ends to be adjustable. Already had a scoop duct below my CAI, so I just opened a hole and grilled it...

Included is a pic of the stock rear bumper mod using a grease pencil, sharp xacto style blade (utility knife), grill, paint and molding.

i joined the club!

the left side i cut like a little peice out of the back so it can bend easier, on the right side its just smooth. I think i like the right side better....

to bhry for having quite possibly the sexiest prelude ever produced. that looks truly, truly, truly insane they way you pulled that car off... props to you.

btw, how did you get your tailight tint to be so glossy? i used the tint spray and it looks matte.
