Hmmm..starting problems

This problem doesn't seem to be anything I've already read about on here. I was leaving the store yesterday and went to start my car, but it died so quick I barely even noticed. The battery is fine, because the radio was playing etc. After a few tries I put it in neutral and back into gear, pumped the clutch a couple times, and held it an extra 1/4 second or so when I turned the key, and she did start. It happened once more that night. Seems fine now though. Any ideas? Spark plugs? Drove totally fine on the way home.

Yep, sopmethings wrong. Took it out this morning, but it would only start if i hit the gas right when i turn the ignition. after that, if you turn it off and start it again, it is fine.

I've got the same problem for quiet a while now, if I don't crank my ignition key a bit longer than normal she wont start. I then wait a minute or so, try it again with hitting the gas and its fine.
It always seems to happen when my engine is cold, once she is warmed up I never got any problems so I think it has something to do with the starter.

actually, ive been dealing with the same exact issue! for a long time aswell. and i actually tried the gas thing the other day before i saw this post and it worked too. couldnt figure it out either. ony happens when its cold. works fine when i pump the gas while cranking. after its warm, not a prob anymore. and i just replaced the battery cause i thought that could be it, but nope.

i always keep my clutch pedal depressed for a few seconds after i start cranking. maybe i dont need to?

im not sure what this problem could be but i hope we find out! im guessing its just a normal thing cause the car is cold. thats why they try to sell those battery warmers which "help make winter starting easier".

Yeah I also hope it is just a side effect of being cold. Although I am having doubts about that, since it's been winter here for nearly a month and it just started doing this several days ago. I just hate having my baby sick !

do you let the fuel pump cut on before starting?

ie. KOEO (key on engine off).

o, you mean in the stage two position? (i think thats what its called, where all the electronics are on and its the notch right before cranking the engine)

I always wait for a couple of seconds before crancking so the fuel pump has time enough the cut on.
I'm not sure about this but could the clutch interlock switch have something ( I recently found out i have one on my car ) to do with it, because I can't remember if I always press my clutchpedal fully in, i know i don't do it on every car i drive.

haven't tried KOEO. In fact, I'll give that a shot right now.
