Hit raccoon; f-ed up my Azect front lip....

Well basically that. The raccoon was a big fvcker and there was nothing i could've done safely to avoid it short of doing a 360 into the woods. It was around a blind bend and i was going about 45-50 mph and then he suddenly popped out. I don't even think he died. I didn't even want to go back and check because i was so pissed. I knew the thing cracked my lip.
Anyway, to get to the point. It's cracked in 2 spots(it's fiberglass by the way). The cracks aren't all the way through. Is it possible to have a body shop fix up my fiberglass lip? I'm going to be going there tomorrow to talk to them but i would like to get an idea if it's possible from you guys before i go. I sure as hell don't want to re-order this f-ing thing again that's for sure. If it can't be salvaged i'm just going to have to wait for bluelude's CF lip.

I see you have JDM center speaker in your trunk.. .nice.

a body shop that works on corvettes and such should be able to help you out.

I actually took it to a couple of places, but they say it's too risky and don't want to be responsible if they fvck up...

Sorry to hear about the misfortune Tom.

As previously mentioned, try a shop that deals with Corvettes. I had my work done at a shop that specialized in Vettes and there were about 3 import bumpers there that needed repair due to cracking. It's second nature to them and you can't tell it was ever cracked once repaired.

They will be able to fix the crack even if it is entirely through the fiberglass.

Good luck.

Mark

Do you have a pic of the raccoon? I'd like to see a picture of his face so if I see him in the future, I can kick his ass.

Wow, thanks for the replies! Very humorous
Excellent, that's great to hear mark. I was very worried that it wasn't going to be salvageable. I was supposed to go down to the shop today but i had to take another car today. I'm going to stop by the shop tomorrow and get the news. Hopefully it won't be to expensive!

Cookout, i don't even want to know where it is because if i find him i will kill him next time that little son of a b!tichheh

Beheading rabbits?! hey, at least it's a quick and painless death for them. Speaking of rabbits, when i was 8 years old my bro was teaching me how to mow the lawn and i accidently ran over a rabbits nest killing 5 or 6 baby rabbits i felt terrible. We didn't see anything though and then all of a sudden the mower went krrackaarkckaarkckarck and the next thing we notice was rabbit parts and fur flying all over. I was devastated, hate thinking about it.

Sorry to hear about your new lip.

Good idea with the Corvette shop guys.

I remember my cousin ran over a turtle or tortoise or some **** in his mini truck, and the front bumper got cracked almost in half. He fixed it himself with fiberglass and mat. If he was still alive I'd ask him how he did it

Do you think this would be possible to do, red92s? You are the fiberglass guru
