Hi all. I have a 94 Honda Prelude, S, 2.2. I seem to have a little problem with it struggling at lower speeds. For example, the RPM meter tends to go up first, way ahead of the mph's. I'll go about 5 miles per hour, and the RPMs will be at about almost 2,000. Even at idling, the RPM bar is a little higher than usual.
What I try and do is handle curves easily, and drive really slowly. When I go above 30 miles per hour, everything seems fine. But when I slow down, or barely go up hill or downhill, or make a turn, the RPMs surge a little, and the engine kind of revs.
This is annoying, and I'm concerned about it because I don't want to damage my car. I tried taking the car to a mechanic (auto shop), but no luck.

I left it there, after waking up early in the morning, and he ended up never even looking at it.
The most the car surged was a little over 3000 RPMs, and this was at an unusually slow speed, so ever since then I've been extra careful and driven more slow and cautiously.

Anyway, please let me know if you know what this problem is. I've looked everywhere on the internet for it, and have found nothing. Also checked my manual, and no luck. If you are sure of what this is, and can tell me, I'd greatly appreciate it, and so would my Honda.
