High flow cat makes your exhaust less restrictive. So in return you should gain HP and Fuel mileage. I dont know if the sound is better, with no cat the sound is worse.

If u are running a boost set up the less restriction the better. If u are going NA (naturally apsitared) then having too much flow can hurt you, you need to have some back preasure on NA cars.
I have an APex'i N1 cat back i like it, some people dont, anyways i had my Catalytic replaced with an Resonator so i had no restriction at all. Not only did it hurt my power it sounded REALLY BAD! 2 resonators = 2 loud. I sounded like a trumbone blasting down the road. So i switched to a random Tech catalytic hi flow cat, and i imidiatly noticed an improvment over the resonator/cat
so in short dont get a test pipe or a resonator unless you goin to boost.
ok well i dont plan on putting a turbo or NOS in the car for the moment, so i guess getting a high flow cat would be cool right?
maybe make it a little louder and an extra hp or 2
yea i would go with a hiflow cat like... Carsound cat or Random Tecchnology... my car sounds deeper woth my random tech, and i am pleased with it as far as performance goes
Oh and the Random tech is about 100$ more then carsound
I have a resonated straight pipe on my car and a thermal R&D classic. I have a little bit of a raspy note between 3500-4000rpm at WOT, but besides that I still have a nice deep exhaust note. I didn't notice a huge loss down low, and you can feel a little more up top. Whenever I drive by my friends car close to redline he says it sounds just like his friends sportbike, just a little lower tone.
