I just got a good amount of scholarship money for UF this semester, and I'm in the market for HIDs. Which ones work well in the JDM headlights? Whats a good/inexpensive kit that I can get? thanks

its funny that people are telling u to save the money for school and to not to get HID's but if u were to, u should get a retro...talk about going from spending a lil to spending alot...
but to answer ur question, i found it alot easier to go with a PNP kit...ive used McCulloch kits and they've worked fine for me...but there are plenty of h4 kits out there...and for ~$300, its well worth it....on the other hand, paying almost $1,000 for lights? now thats money u can save for tuition...just my $0.02
I honestly dont need to save money, all my apartment rent is paid through scholarships, my car is completely paid, all my tuition is paid, I have more than enough money to eat, and I have a job. So I actually really do want HIDs.....thanks for the advice though.
So there are good kits that are only 300dollars? I dont want to do a retro fit...I would rather not hack into my JDM's, plus it seems like a lot more money

You're going to get a LOT of glare with the JDM's with retro. Plus the light quality won't be that good. It will just be more brite AND pointing to oncoming traffic. you'll start blinding other people and could get into trouble with your local police over it.
IMHO if you want run HID's in your JDM 1 peice headlights, wait and do it right, get retro's.

what about those look-alike JDM's they are coming out with now? would those have the right style output? i've been thinkign of selling my JDM's and just getting those so i can keep the original bulbs too.
