HID retrofits?

I am interested in getting some TSX Projectors retro-fitted in my JDM blackhousing headlights but I have no experience doing this. There used to be someone on here (I thought) that did the retrofitting. Does anyone know or have suggestions?

jay.....a linkypoo to the search?

I just don't want to hack up my JDMs especially since I don't really know what I'm doing. But I usually don't know what I'm doing.

Jay, I know you did yours, was it hard to get them right? I have read threads somewhere about how it's hard to get them "right"

i f'ed up 2x when I redid them, NEVER got the crappy shrouds to actually work right.

here's my suggestion, offer to buy someones cracked/pitted jdms and buy some $45 ebay projectors and play around. when you get it right, swap the lenses from your good jdms or do another set. someone will buy the crappy ones =p

thanks! I'll research the topic some more. I am trying to figure this out. Do you basically put TSX projectors in there and put anykind of ballast/bulbs in behind it?

There's many ways to do this. Pretty much what you do is take a part the headlight cut out part of the relector bowl test fit the projector make sure its level before you mount it. Then you'll need to figure out a way to cover up the proejctor so you all you see is the lense. Unless you want to see an ugly projector housing inside your headlight. As for a ballast you'll need one that made for a d2s bulb. The most common are hella and philips but you could use oem ones from cars with hids as well.
After you do some reaserch you'll understand what it takes. It's not hard to do. I think the hardest thing to do is make it look pleasing to the eye.
