HID projectors in your 4th gen

You guys should install HID projectors in the 4th gen lights...its easy to do...im sure most of you have seen my work on ME's.

When i release my HID projector write-up on tuesday...it should help you get ideas even tho its for a 5th gen.

You can do it to JDM lights as well...and when i show you guys you can get it cosmetically looking alot better than the 5th gen with minimal effort.

I'd also like to put prejectors in my JDM's. I thought about attempting it when I put my HID's in.. but then second guessed it. The only problem I had with doing it, was covering the projector from the lense back.

i have a set of JDM's that a board member here let me borrow. The retrofit would be easy and cosmetically feasible

Ando is not doing anymore projectors retrofitting... you can always check on ebay for projectors being sold.

Since I am horrible at estimating cost, do you mind me asking you for a ballpark price on how much this would cost to complete?

yep. the glare and cutoff line are fully adjustable so you can pretty much eliminate glare.

Update can be found at: 4th Gen JDM Projector Headlamps Project - Update

JDM Girl: estimated cost:

HID Projectors with bulb & ballast: $450
Extra set of JDM headlamps: $320
Wal-Mart tin containers: $5
JB Weld: $5 ?
Roll of Sheet Metal: $5
Extras (Screws, dust cleaner, etc.): $10

Tools needed: Heat gun, dremel, drill

X-tremeV-locity: yes this should eliminate the incorrect illumination for the states, since it does not use the stock reflectors anymore. But I still need to focus them right to get the best illumination.

MidNiteMysT: Let me finish the project first before i begin a FAQ.

Thanks All

Out of curiosity, when retrofitting a HID how do you "focus" the hid for the best illumination?

yohan420: i can adjust it like stock because the projector itself sits in the stock reflector. It won't be major adjustments, but it'll help. And when you put these retrofits in, you never know if your straight in or not, as far as i know i could be shooting straight to the ground or up in the back glass of cars.

MidNiteMyst: yeah, been busy, but i hope i can do a writeup soon!
