With an HID conversion kit they will work just like the normal lights.
The normal brights are bright enough in my opinion, and they won't be as ridiculously bright as the HIDs. Looking straight into an HID bulb can't be good for someones eyes... Just replace the 9006's(low-beams).
if you don't have a projector housing for hid then it won't work very well. Retrofit or don't do it at all. then you'll have more time to work on your six pack douche.

Even if you're not going to do a proper retrofit, putting HID's in the high-beam position is not a good idea because of the limited use the high beams get. Many times they are used to flash, or turned on and off depending on on-coming traffic when you are otherwise alone on a dark road. This is why many automobiles equipped with HID's for the low-beam use a regular halogen bulb for the high-beam (unless they are using bi-xenon, which uses a controlled shroud to switch between low and high). This is because the halogen bulb does not need "warm-up" time, so it is useful as a high-beam.
i have hids for low and high reason being when i ordered them i told him i needed h4's he sent me hb4's told him that and he sent me a brand new set and said i could keep the first ones he sent me as a gift for him making the mistake.. so needless to say i have 12000K on low beam and 10000K for the high cause i got it for free.. honestly tho the hids put out 2Xs the brightness of a halogen bulb from the store so you may not even need your high beams.. ever since i put my hids in i havent once flicked on the brights cause the low beams were bright enough
Why would you do that, soldier? Are you trying to blind oncoming traffic, soldier?
I bet you're the kind of guy that would **** a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around.

id just like to put purple hid's in the high beam, i had them before on my low's and me and everyone else loved them on my lude, but had to take them off for legal reasons but now id like to put them on brights to maybe be able to run both or blink them for looks.
and also the ballasts i have are really small and dont put out as much power so id like to use those for the brights so they arent blinding
