Hey how do i reinstall my rear view mirror?

I took this thing off awhile ago an for the life of me cant seem to get it to lock in the slot like it is suppose to. Anyone ever done this?

BlueLude, do you all of the pieces to install it properly? Mainly the toothed washer and spring?

ya i dunno whats up . I cant seem to unscrew the mirror pieces they are like locked down which is prolly where the problem is

i've done this b4

if u are screwing in the big screw into the little panel, just remember to do it in reverse. Make sure you have enough space for the jagged piece and the spring. Place the whole contraption onto the part(SLIDE it up the windshild) and have someone else screw in the little screwhead(the regular way) in that little hole beneath the rearView mirror holder...

it took me a few tries doing it alone...

So you do you just screw the big bolt (from the little screw head) until it's REAL tight while you hold it in place?? I tried this and it looked like I was bending the washer a little...didn't wanna bend it..
