hey everyone my name is grace and im in the process of getting new rims and tires for my car. its a 96 honda prelude vtec, i was just wondering what size i should get. i was thinking about getting 17 inch rims but i dont want them to look big on my car. what size do you guys have? and what size looks good?
215's yield a little more rubber on the road, which will result in better traction. Running a 45 vs. 40 series tires will help a little with rim protection and ride quality. I bought a 40 series tire for my 17's, but I immediately wished I got a 45 once I got them mounted. There is very little side wall height on a 215/40/17 tire. It would be even less on a 205/40/17.
It is possible that falken doesn't make tires in the other size I suggested. 205/40/17 will work if you are dead-set on that tire, but IMO 215/45/17 would be a better choice.
