Hesitation on startup - Honda Prelude Forum

i checked the other hesitation thread and i believe mine is completely different, so i started this one up.

for a while now, sometimes i will start up my car up after its been sitting all night, it'll idle for a few seconds then sound like its about to die, like its out of gas or something. normally one would give it a little gas to keep it alive, but it seems like whenever i hit the gas pedal it makes it worse and it sounds like im just starving it even more of fuel. sometimes i'll start it up and it seems fine, then i give it a little gas (while in neutral) and it just boggs to all hell. it doesnt effect my driving at all because it seems fine after i keep trying to give it gas and it finally doesnt bog...

i wish i could describe it better but does anyone have any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my TPS, but I was throwing a code.

no codes. i dont think its a tps issue considering it only happens like when i start it up when its been sitting for a while and it goes right away... tps seems to read fine on my v-afc also...
