Hesitation - New Ideas?

The old thread was kinda long. I think I have a unique situation from the other gents, so here goes.

I am running a P13 OBDI (much to my surprise, I thought all my problems were because of OBDII - engine was supposed to be from a 96, but I guess not...)

ECU throws CEL code 41 - heated o2 sensor
Engine bogs around 2500-3500rpm
Before and after that range, very smooth...
I've done a little documentation
Open Loop (cold engine) - there is no hesitation
Open Loop (WOT) - hesitation is present
Closed Loop (steady accel. - not WOT) - hesitation is present

Question - Is there a way to take a multimeter or whatnot to my o2 sensor, to test if it's working properly? I don't have access to another o2 sensor, and I want to make sure this one isn't working before I buy another one...

Any other thoughts on what it could be? Anything I should try?

Thanks guys...

here are my new views on the situation....

my hesitation problems are tranny related! who'd a thunk it? lol

a misshift at the track last night (as most of you know my 3rd gear has been giving me problems for a while), after that, no reverse and my hesitation is back instantaneously. crazy huh?

p.s. - anyone know what the hell a 3rd gear misshift would do to cause my reverse to go out?

I think your engine has blown up. That would explain your problems.
