they dont look bad at all....at least you some some peace of mind that they are ok now. are you still going to P&P?

BTW.....get the cover chromed.....looks bad ass plus it will be easier to clean then if you polish it.

I am trying like hell to get the P&P. I will get the cover chromed for sure. It was my original intent. I found a dude locally who does stuff for Harley's and he said like 50 bucks to get it done. So I think i will be all over that. I will post pics after the P&P. Any ideas on cleaning piston heads. Or should I just clean the stuff that fell in there and leave them be???

i wouldnt go too crazy on cleaning the pistons.....last thing you would want to do is spray something on them that will leak down into the engine that can cause harm to the walls of the cylinder or rod bearings.....i would just use some degreaser on a rag and wipe the **** off.....dont go crazy spraying all kinds of cleaners directly on it.....just my .02

That is all I wanna do. Just make them look half way descent agian. I am not spraying anything in there that is not good. I am gonna call Honda and see if they recommend anything.

And why are you trying to clean the tops off the pistons? You will never see them and its not like the little bit of carbon on the top is hurting anything. I would hope honda would reccomend doing nothing because there is no point to cleaning them.

How many valves did you bend?

Yeah I agree with what your saying I was just wondering if it was a good idea. I guess its not.

I do not believe I bent any of them as of right now. However when the folks go to do my P&P they will be taking out the valves so we will see if they got bent. You are seeing the cylinder head just removed from the car I have not touched them at all. Thanks for the info.

Ditto... This is what happens to even the best-maintained engines. A bit of carbon buildup never hurt anybody.\

Thanks guys. I will only remove the loose stuff that is in there by means of shop vac and leave the rest alone. I think I am taking the head friday as I took the day off to the shop for P&P. I am pumped.
