Sounds just like my haggered up h22a also. Im thinking a bad lifter. Im not sure what they sound like when they need a valve adjustemnt, been wondering the same thing myself.

IIRC, a ticking is more than likely your timing being off.

If your valve was making a ticking sound, it would probably be getting bent. It would probably happen to fast for you to really hear. Get your timing done. If that doesn't fix it, compression and leakdown test.

you got it checked and they said it was a bad lifter? how much will it cost to repair? I think ive been hearing my engine do that a little bit too. and wtf is a bad lifter? (im a noob)

well there was a blocking plate there and it was ***! so after that so i took it out and i put the EGR valve back on!!!! rides smoother!

i have the same problem!!! its been ticking for 2months already. I already did a valve adjustment but im gonna do it again. And then check my timing. What are LIFTERS?
