Hi, My JDM engine has just arrived and customs will not let me get it without this epa and the dot papers filled out. The thing is for the epa one I can not find an exemption without having a letter from honda saying that it is certified. Anyone who has imported this stuff please help me. I am not sure what exactly to do.

Man I really don't know but that is awesome that you are from Wichita. I used to live in Augusta and I attend ESU. Are you doing all this yourself or are you having someone do it? I would definately be interested in a ride sometime.... If you don't mind!

Did the EPA give you a contact? If they are saying they have problems they should at least give you someone to get in contact with!

thanks guys i figured it out. I can get my swap, but it is "illegal" for me to put it in....but of course I just want it to look at(at least thats what I told them)

It's not illegal to put it in even, just illegal to drive on public roads with it installed Not like it pollutes any more than a USDM motor...

I wouldn't worry in the least about driving with it, once it's in almost NO cop will be able to tell it's not stock.

What Honda ENGINE is made in the U.S.? According to customs, all of our cars shouldn't be on the road then, huh?

Anyways, keep a catalytic converter on that thing and it should be fine.

Yeh guys they let me have the motor. Its getting installed as we speak....I can not wait to have it back.

if anybody ever has problems with customs, just tell them that its for learning purpose only...thats what me and my friend did and they said ok...whatever so we didnt even pay any custom tax...hehehe
