Help! TB problem

I just replaced my stock throttle body with a blox 68 or 70mm throttle body i cant remember which. Anyway i put it on and it wasnt working right. I had my one buddy come over who also has a lude he said he ran into the same problem and that the problem was i had a stock tb gasket and that i needed a custom one that covers the one port causing a vacuum leak. He had an extra one so he gave it to me. I put it on and at first it starts and it idles around 1200. Then after about 5-10 seconds it goes up to about 2 grand. Then about 20 seconds later the idle starts bouncing and i cant figure out what wrong. Please help i really dont wanna have to put the stock tb back on and my car has already been in my garage for a week.
Thanks

i dont know if they come pre-calibrated but it wouldnt be a bad idea to check.
~.5v to ~4.5 WOT
youll need a multimeter btw

did the idle change/get better after changing the gasket?
you could always make your own. purchase gasket material from your local auto parts store and get a sharp blade (razor, exacto-knife)

yea thats what he did. He gave me one he made out of gasket paper. The idle did get alil better when i changed the gasket but i never left it running long enough to tell with the stock gasket. When i had the stock gasket on there it idled so high i always had to turn it off so never had time to see if the idle would start bouncing shortly after that.

Put the stock one back on and save the other for when you have either a different IM or get your stock one port matched to the TB because you aren't helping performance other wise.
